ATTACK OF THE DRONES: ABU SAYYAF WILL HAVE NO PLACE TO HIDE

It is almost certain without saying that the ‘Abu Sayyaf’ leadership killed (if you consider the kind of aircrafts our military has) was carried by drones. USA has thousands of these killing machines they deploy in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa. It is most effective in hunting down insurgents in remote places where it can zero in on a target’s cell phone pulses even if it is switched off plus other top secret means. The Iraq government very recently launched a diplomatic protest against the US government for flying drones in Iraq allegedly to patrol the areas around the US embassy. The future of war is here…

Abu Sayyaf founder 'Dr. Abu', key JI operatives among 15 Islamists killed in Sulu
MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATE 4 - 6:06 p.m.) A key commander of the Abu Sayyaf and two foreign operatives of the Southeast Asian terror network Jemaah Islamiyah were among at least 15 Islamists killed in a government air strike in Sulu province on Thursday morning, the Armed Forces of the Philippines said.
"Our troops on the ground have confirmed the death of 15 Abu Sayyaf and JI members, including Zulkifli bin Abdul Hir, alias Marwan, Mohammad Ali, alias Muawiyah, and Abu Sayyaf leader Abu Pula," who is also known as Dr. Abu and whose real name is Gumbahali Abu Jumdali, Major General Noel Coballes, chief of the Western Mindanao Command, said.
All three had rewards from the United States government -- Marwan for $5 million, Jumdail for $140,000, and Mauwiyah for $50,000.

The strike on Barangay Duyan Kabau in Parang town was carried out by OV-10 Bronco planes starting at 3 a.m.
Armed Force of the Philippines spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Arnulfo Burgos Jr. said the air strike was the product of months of intelligence work with support from the United States.
