A BAFFLING
COINCIDENCE OF FATE (BUSH&ARROYO THEN AND NOW)
If we can measure a nation’s greatness by being in the news, Philippine has no rival in Asia. On the 20th of January, a new president was sworn in to replace a maligned president who was driven out of office by popular revolt. The weirdest of all however is the shroud of mystery that surrounds the new Philippine and new

It was the Supreme Court of each country that intervened on their behalf after much legal wrangling. As soon as they were sworn into office, they each named an X-general as executive secretary. Although the Philippine president’s father died several years ago, she has former president Ramos acting as her guardian angel and ambassador at large, a role that the senior Bush is playing for his son. Ramos was the secretary of National Defense during the gulf war when millions of Filipinos and other aliens had to run for their lives. The 7th
They each replaced presidents [Clinton/Estrada] who are known to be womanizers. The lower houses of Congress impeached both outgoing presidents, but their party mates in the Senate acquitted both. Citizens of both countries believe they were guilty. They were impeached, tried, and acquitted by the same set of laws. On January 29, 2001 while driving my children to school, a vendor held a newspaper to my face that reads, “Dr. Loi [Estrada] to run for the senate,”
“It is too much of a coincidence,” I said turning to my wife with Hilary Clinton in my mind.
The Philippines, I believe, with its father figure, the United States, will play a significant role in the coming ‘apocalypse.’ The Philippines is the catholic bastion in Asia. Filipinos were once called the little brown Americans, but before that, Filipinos were called the misplaced Latin Americans. President Bush and President Arroyo should watch over each other’s because of the possibility that what happens to one will happen to the other. They share a common destiny, the meaning of which remains to be unraveled.
President George W. Bush will visit the

A lot of things had happened ever since that is getting even weirder. Because of 9/11, there was no way President Bush could make the trip, but President Gloria Arroyo instead went to the
Like Hillary Clinton, Dr. Luisa Estrada ran for the Senate and won.
Citizens of both countries continue to die in
Filipinos in the US military and civilian workers are among the continuing casualties of the Iraq quagmire.
They each have to fight Muslim terrorists (ABU SAYYAF/SIPADAN HOSTAGES), Islamic militants, extremists, and common criminals hiding in the shadow of Islam.
Although the Philippine president holds office for a 6-year term, Arroyo had to run for office after 4 years because she took over when the former president had been in office for only 2 years. She and Bush ran in the same year and both won the presidential re-elections. A few months into the office, both encountered trouble, and their ratings equally plummeted to the 30-40% range. Arroyo for lying about winning the election, plus a ton of corruption charges, while Bush for lying about the Iraq war and a ton of other charges, including torture of prisoners that refuses to go away. An impeachment complaint against Arroyo was killed by her party mates in the lower house; similarly, an impeachment being contemplated by the Democrats against Bush didn’t progress beyond the lower house.
NOW:
Both Bush and Arroyo’s political parties lost the presidency to their opponents, but what is really unusual is that neither ex-president can leave their own countries. Arroyo faces corruption charges, while Bush fears being targeted by human rights groups that have accused him of human rights violations. Will the court also find GMA guilty of one of the many charges against her? :-)
