It is wrong to ignore a child's intelligence just because they are a child, but imagine if a child has 10-100 terabytes of empty space storing information from the day they are born. Don’t make love in the presence of your 6-month-old child because it is going to have a lasting effect on his/her moral upbringing.

…so why do I think my granddaughter is the reincarnation of an immortal soul?

I have five grown-up children, and yeah, I am a Neonatologist/Pediatrician by training (retired), meaning I know a lot about children, and this one is amusingly different. All of my children displayed not-so-ordinary intelligence, not to mention other unworldly gifts. Every child is unique, and their DNA is unlike any other.

We understand the world we live in through experience, but how would you explain someone knowing something before experience unless he/she did it in a previous life? (Two of my daughters most probably knew each other in a past life.)

I took this photo at 1:30 AM. I posted the picture in our family chat group with the caption: THE KAHLID’S YOUNGEST SCIENTIST (Age: 1 year)

Her parents made for her a pair of eye glass (her mom is a Dr. of Optometry). The reason – she is always grabbing my reading glasses surprisingly; she refuses to wear her glasses. She wants mine.

At one time, she grabbed my eye glasses and with the seams of her shirt, cleaned the glasses with it. Luckily, I was able to take a picture of her doing the extraordinary feat. How many one-year-old randomly do that – I was speechless.

My wife bought from Shopee a water sprinkler for her plants but before it can be delivered, we bought for Naureen a small sprinkler so she will not struggle with her grandma for the thing. She took the sprinkler excitedly, asked for water and run to the backyard and started watering the plants.

I can go on and on but this one really opened my eyes to the possibility that Naureen is a reincarnation of an immortal soul.

I was watching NBA on my laptop connected to a 32 inches TV. When she walked in front of the laptop, she paused, looked at it and said, “Basketball!” (she is only 2 years old and is able to say only few words) and pointing fingers at the monitor, “shoot, shoot!!” That was the only time I ever heard her say those words as if it came from nowhere. It was the first time; she saw a basketball game.

She is only 2 years old but she can sing the ABC song from A to Z and can recognize separately every letter of the alphabet.

DARK ENERGY

Dark Energy: the name given to the mysterious force that's causing the rate of expansion of our universe to accelerate over time, rather than to slow down.

Wow! Have you ever wondered why the universe is immensely dark despite trillions of stars burning bright for billions of years? Where did all the light (electric photons) go? What if dark energy is the nemesis of light, meaning photons are converted to dark energy? What if the trillions of stars are feeders for dark energy that is virtually ripping the universe apart?

IMMORTALITY

Often, I wonder if water, a life-sustaining substance, is also the cause of our aging and eventual death. There is no biological reason why we age and eventually die of old age. Water is a universal solvent that can carve and etch its mark on a granite rock. Logic dictates that if it can dent a rock in time, why not the cells in our bodies?

Approximately 60% of the human adult body is composed of water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are composed of 31% water.

Our body is like a walking water container, a skin bottle of water.

Obviously, Adam, Eve, and the others who settled on Earth in the distant past were immortals from the planet of the Gardens of Eden, where rivers of immortality (Al Kauthar/Qur’an) run. It must be a different kind of liquid. The secret is in the water.

Amazing Naureen – not yet 2 years old

With Naureen tugging at my sleeves, I woke up from my afternoon nap. She took my hand and pulled me towards the 6-liter plastic jar she was playing with. She put my hand over the cap, indicating that she wanted me to open it. She learned to do that in the last 3 months. If she wants to open the door, she will hold my hand and tug me to the door, placing my hand over the doorknob. She is not yet two years old, and unable to verbalize what she wants. 

The first words she learned from the YouTube nursery rhymes are the colors, shapes, numbers 1-10, and the alphabet. I presumed that at her age, it’s no surprise for her to recognize some letters like A, E, and O that she can easily point out from prints on her grandmother’s shirts.

She was sitting on my lap while we both watched the nursery rhymes on YouTube. To my surprise…omg, she recognized all the letters from A to Z, although she pronounced the letters in a funny, hilarious way. She recognized the alphabet from A to Z before she could even say, "Milk," "Mommy," or "Mama."

We have some pillows in the living room with different shapes. My wife asked her, “What’s this?” and Naureen answered, “Star, square, or round.” Then suddenly, she picked up one, raised it up, and asked me, " Was diss?” LOL!

She wanted to bring some of her blocks to another place, so she did what she could. She took my hand, put her blocks in my palm, and gently, as if she were holding a glass container, took them where she wanted. She tilted my hand to let the blocks fall to the spot she chose. 

I was watching Jurassic Park on my mobile. She climbed over to my lap and watched with me, but to my surprise, she climbed down and hid under the table, obviously afraid. We always ignore children's perception and understanding of what they see around them. It was the part where the dinosaurs and everybody else were running away from the erupting volcano. 

This morning, I was busy reading the news on my mobile. I didn’t mind what she was doing, but then I heard her say, “Eight. " When I turned to where she was, she was holding two rubber bands touching tangentially. It’s an 8.

This one likewise made her grandmother and me laugh so hard that we doubled up laughing: She said, “Triangle.” She was standing on top of the table where I was reading. She had a good view of the 32-inch TV, and she was trying to show me and her grandmother something. With her two index fingers touching at the edge, forming an angle, and her overlapping thumbs as a base, it’s a “TRIANGLE.”

It reminded me of Nishreen (my youngest daughter) when she was about 2-3 years old. She saw her mother’s slipper turned upside down with grooved soles and said, "ESCALATOR." LOL!

CLASSROOMS WITHOUT WALLS: The Future is Here

In the future, blackboards will be replaced by big screens, and textbooks will be in students' pockets, plugging into any gadget with a monitor.

I didn’t imagine that students could stay home on a nationwide scale.

DepEd's plan is known to work on a smaller scale, but if it succeeds even at level 6 out of 10, it will set a precedent with far more implications for the future. Parents may continue to opt for distance learning even after the pandemic. Not only is it safer for their children, but it is also more cost-effective, excluding allowances, uniforms, fares, etc.

The shutdown of ABS-CBN could be a blessing in disguise, as they can now broadcast on the best medium that technology has to offer. In the past, not long ago (LOL!), the network broadcast only TV Patrol in HD. Lately, if you have noticed, they seem to broadcast all the network’s programs in HD.

I'd like to know if ABS-CBN needs to rush for a franchise anymore. It can broaden its base by simply building cable television where there is none and broadcasting via local cable networks. Sky Cable, which ABS-CBN also owns, can be its flagship network. It can also invest heavily in Internet broadcasting, and if SpaceX Interlink succeeds, there is no place on earth that the Internet cannot reach. Telephone companies will be dead. Traditional air broadcasts could vanish into oblivion. 

Media networks could be the future of education, where pupils/students can record their online teachers’ lectures. With the technological advancement of animation, there is no need for hands-on classroom experimentation, making face-to-face learning obsolete. But there is a catch—the end of the teaching profession.

Imagine this: ABS-CBN (or other companies/Google/FB/or Amazon), with its massive resources, builds a futuristic university—for each country or a single university for the entire planet. Poor kids and the rich can receive the same education, coming from one source, free and paid for by advertising. SpaceX has begun deploying thousands of interlinking satellites that will encircle the planet, bringing internet access to every corner of the globe.

INVISIBLE ENEMY – Bringing the Titans of Power to their Knees!

The world is at war with an invisible enemy, an enemy that Russia, USA, France, UK, and China (5 superpowers) cannot just bomb away, and to quote DU30 (Philippine president), “kung pwede sana barilin, e di sana tapos na.” (if only it can be shot, it would have been long gone).

The wonder of wonders, however, is that this unseen enemy seems to be pro-poor, targeting with impunity mostly the titans of power of planet Earth, sparing the less fortunate of nations. It remains to be seen, however, if yes, third-world countries will suffer less.

The USA, the most powerful nation on the planet, seems to be the enemy’s number one target—no other nation comes close to being second. With 250K+ infected and 35K+ dead, the UK is far second, although Brazil is catching up and may replace the UK in the next few days. 

The economic devastation this enemy has wrought upon the high and the mighty boggles the mind. Schools and universities are closed. Trains, cars, and all public transport stopped running while Jetliners stopped flying. Luxury ships and shipping lines stopped sailing. Malls are closed, and the industry that keeps these super malls running smoothly has halted, throwing people out of work. In the USA alone, 35 million people were out of work, forcing the government to reopen businesses. Eventually, every country on the planet will have to follow the USA’s lead – people need to work regardless of the enemy’s threat to our health. Our mental and financial well-being is more important than the threat of contracting a disease that has little chance of killing us anyway, especially if one is healthy.  The fittest will survive, while the weakest will go. It's the nature of life. 

Looking back years from now, we will ask ourselves if lockdowns and community quarantines were the most effective measures. Does the perceived benefit outweigh the affront to our mental and financial well-being? In the following weeks, the crime rate is expected to rise. More beggars will ply the streets of the city.  Although the future is grim to ponder, the government's Build3 program could offer a glimmer of hope. It can employ the legions of unemployed as a consequence of COVID-19.

It is hard to tell how long the enemy will linger in our world, or whether it will forever stay. Eventually, we will have no choice but to accept the alien enemy in our midst, just as we have adapted to the flu viruses in the air that we breathe.

WORLD WAR 3 – The war against the bug…!

I wrote years ago that the New Jerusalem would be completed by 2020 (it has been), and yes, Jesus’ second coming may also occur soon thereafter.

On May 11, 2020, I was watching CNN when a man waving a placard that said “Jesus is coming soon” suddenly appeared behind the CNN reporter. It reminded me of what I wrote years ago. Although I suspected World War 3 may also happen near 2020, I didn’t expect it to be a war against a “BUG” – a small bug that needs 100,000 times magnification to become visible on a microscope. Nobody knows when the war will end, but it has already infected (wounded) 4 million around the world, with 300K+ dead and counting. It altered the way billions of Earth’s denizens live – the world as we know it, is ended. 

The devastation it wrought upon the economy of what used to be the industrialized world (USA/Europe) almost made sure that warmongers were crippled, bringing the USA (81,000+ dead and counting) and the UK (36,000+ dead) to their knees. With the world’s top “Lords of War” (partners in crime) broken and decimated, we could be on the brink of a world finally at peace - in sha'Allah!

WAR OR PEACE - senate must impeach TRUMP

There can be no World War 3 in the present conflict. The USA will not go to another expensive war in the Middle East, even if it has to abandon Baghdad the way it abandoned Saigon.

If the USA’s war dogs (ISIS and other terror groups) failed to unseat Assad of Syria, how does it expect to win a war against Iran?

The endless war in Iraq and Syria is a proxy war between the USA and Iran, and it looks like…The USA is losing the proxy war on all fronts. If Trump expects to win reelection by going to war, he is stupendously wrong unless the American People are stupendously stupid. One way to appease the mullahs in Iran is for the Senate to impeach Trump. Pelosi should now go to the Senate for the impeachment trial. It will determine WAR or PEACE.

Removing Trump from office can extinguish the flame of anger that is raging in Iran, Iraq, and Syria, and the world can have a sigh of relief.
