It is hard to imagine that the following verses were written
1,400 years ago. It is easier to comprehend for the moon to be rent asunder or
earth to be shaken to its core but for the stars to dim and the heaven/sky to be
rent asunder is something we just accept however impossible because God says

Qur’an 51:47: ‘Verily: we are able to extend the vastness of
space thereof.’
Qur’an 77: 7-9 “Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to
pass. (7) Then when the stars become dim; (8) When the heaven is cleft asunder;
(9)”
