You honored us then, and you honored us again with your visit after 40
years. We never thought of you differently as a family. We didn’t adopt
you; you adopted us.
It is sad that we were unable to take you to places that were memorable to you during the six years that you lived in Lanao as a young “peace corps” volunteer. Life was different then: peaceful, full of hopes, lovely, and
serene. Your visit brought back memories of what is pure and beautiful in us
all.
