The Qatari leadership must not underestimate nor ignore the
Arab spring. Cohabiting with the demons of the region will not earn him respect
rather; he will be swept away by the same storm that razed across the region. He
can only buy as much respect on both sides of the widening gap between the West
and the Arabs and Islam at large. It is a tiny state with GNP now ranked first
in the world but to buy respect because you can is not respectful. When you
openly supported the western demons to unseat Khadaffy; you made a strong enemy
among your Arab kin. It is wiser for you to stay neutral in the conflict
between Israel/USA and Iran. USA and Israel when push comes to shove are out of
Iran’s reach but you; you are a sitting duck across the Gulf. Hitting your oil
platforms and Gas fields is what we call ‘chicken feed’ if and when Iran
decides to cripple the west’s economy by torching the oil fields of the entire
region. Oil is Iran’s weapon of mass destruction and you are a stone throw-away
from it. Be wise…not boastful. You might be a star in the eyes of the west but
are you in the eyes of your kin in the immediate neighborhood?
Qatari Emir secretly visited Israel: Clip
Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has made a secret visit to Israel despite the fact that Doha and Tel Aviv have no political relations, a video has revealed.
Israeli Kadima leader Tzipi Livni welcomed the Emir and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jaber Al Thani during the visit.
The Qatari Emir and his delegation also met several high-ranking Israeli officials.
