Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian boy who had firecrackers hidden under his brief, is serving 4 life sentences in jail. The firecrackers hidden under his brief exploded, but injured nobody but his balls; naturally. It is, according to the USA, a weapon of mass destruction; LOL! He boarded the plane that he was supposed to bomb in midair without a passport/visa. So much for airport security; how did he? Reminds me of that character in X-Men who just appears and disappears behind walls. He was escorted to the plane by someone obviously with (CIA) high security clearance; wow. Although the American law of the Wild Wild West appears real funny sometimes, not to mention the American Gulag at Guantanamo, Cuba, you don’t want to tangle with the Darth Vader of the Evil Empire unless, of course, you are Skywalker.

The would-be suicide bomber dispatched by the Yemen branch of Al Qaeda last month to blow up a United States-bound airliner was actually an intelligence agent for Saudi Arabia who infiltrated the terrorist group and volunteered for the suicide mission, American and foreign officials said Tuesday. 

In an extraordinary intelligence coup, the double agent left Yemen, traveling by way of the United Arab Emirates, and delivered both the innovative bomb designed for his air attack and critical information on the group's leaders to the C.I.A., Saudi and other foreign intelligence agencies. 

After spending weeks at the center of the terrorist network's most dangerous affiliate, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the agent provided critical information that permitted the C.I.A. to direct the drone strike on Sunday that killed Fahd Mohammed Ahmed al-Quso, the group's external operations director and a suspect in the bombing of the American destroyer Cole in Yemen in 2000. 

He also handed over the bomb, designed by the group's top explosives expert to be invisible to airport security, to the F.B.I., which is analyzing its properties.

The irony of ironies; USA today is what USSR used to be and vice versa…

USA today is what Russia used to be at the height of the Cold War, which reminds me of a movie television series in Betamax tapes entitled “1999,” if I remember correctly. It was an action-packed movie (in the mid-eighties) of more than 10 hours in length, where the USA became an authoritarian communist nation. Russian advisers were everywhere in the country, helping the US leadership through the transition, while American militant students organized into revolutionary cells that provided the correct formulae for a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seats. The irony of all ironies that nobody even dreamed about is the switching of the plot that became a reality; Russia today has become what the USA used to be. Although it was a fiction, nobody expected it to become a veiled reality, except that no American patriots are fighting the evils of their government. There are no thrills; only frailties in today’s USA.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has officially requested public access to statements made by alleged conspirators of the September 11 attacks.

The ACLU asked the military court trying five alleged plotters to reject any possible attempts made by the US government to withhold the defendants’ statements regarding the treatment they received, UPI reported.

The Kangaroo Court at the American Gulag is finally starting at a snail's pace. Had the suspects been put on trial in a civilian court, all the charges against them would have been thrown out as inadmissible in court, which is why even the US president was overruled by the US military. Remember that not all these guys were caught on the battlefield. Mohammad Sheikh, for instance, was arrested inside his house in Pakistan, while the others were arrested in different places all over the planet. It took 11 years after 9/11 to torture them into an admission of whatever the US government imagined they did. In fact, if they had asked Mohammad Sheikh if he was the guy crawling at the knoll that fired the fatal shot that killed JFK, he would have said yes. Why do you think they killed the unarmed Osama Bin Laden inside his bedroom? DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES...

Hearing for accused 9/11 mastermind marked by delays - CNN.com:

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (CNN) -- Silence from accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others resulted in delays during their arraignment Saturday in Guantanamo Bay.

A hearing before a military judge that could have lasted minutes instead stretched into hours.

It is Mohammed and four others' first appearance in a military courtroom since being charged a month ago.

Along with Mohammed, the others are Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin 'Attash, Ramzi Binalshibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi.

The five are charged with terrorism, hijacking aircraft, conspiracy, murder in violation of the law of war, attacking civilians, attacking civilian objects, intentionally causing serious bodily injury, and destruction of property in violation of the law of war.

The defendants' silence —some ignored the judge, and others appeared to be reading—slowed the proceedings to a crawl.

The military initially charged Mohammed in 2008, but President Barack Obama stopped the case as part of his effort to close the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay.

Unable to close the center, Obama attempted to move the case to federal court in New York in 2009, only to run into a political firestorm. The plan was dropped after complaints about cost and security.

Last April, Attorney General Eric Holder announced the five would face a military trial at Guantanamo Bay.

The decision was met with some criticism, including from the American Civil Liberties Union.

Have you heard much lately about the 1.5 million Palestinians illegally imprisoned by the Israeli government in the world’s largest open-air Gulag? Their dire living conditions, worsened by a selective Israeli siege limiting the importation of necessities of life – medical items, food, water, building materials, and fuel to list a few – has resulted in an 80 percent unemployment rate and widespread suffering from unlawful punishment, arbitrary arrests and imprisonment in Israeli jails.

The horrific conditions were a result of the Israeli invasion of Gaza in late 2008, ignited by Israel’s breaking of a truce with Gaza on November 4. Fourteen hundred people died, nearly three hundred of them children, and thousands were injured. The terror bombing of the Gazan population smashed into homes, hospitals, schools, ambulances, mosques, subsistence farms, UN facilities, and even the American International School. Israeli bombers destroyed over 30 members of one extended family in their home. That toll alone was three times the amount of Israeli fatalities, which included friendly fire.

The humanitarian crisis in crowded Gaza – about twice the size of the District of Columbia – “is now more dire than ever.” That is the judgment of Norwegian physician and professor of medicine, Dr. Mads Gilbert, who just finished a ten-day speaking tour in the U.S. Dr. Gilbert, returning from a recent visit to Gaza, was one of the only two foreign doctors inside Gaza during the massacre of December 2008 to January 2009.

He says: “During the Israeli attack, I saw the effects of new weapons including drones, phosphorous and also DIME [Dense Inert Metal Explosives], which leave no shrapnel, but I witnessed their capacity to cut a child in two; they also leave radioactive traces.”

The French news website Mediapart has released a 2006 Arabic document signed by Gaddafi's foreign intelligence chief Mussa Kussa. The document refers to an "agreement in principle to support the campaign for the candidate for the presidential elections, Nicolas Sarkozy, for a sum equivalent to 50 million euros."

Upon winning the election, he invited Gaddafi to France and let him set up his Bedouin tent close to the Elysée Palace in Paris. The French president also reportedly referred to Gaddafi as the “Brother Leader” at the time. 

President Sarkozy is currently busy losing a presidential election in France and may never see the inside of the Elysée Palace again. And to understand what Libya has lost, here’s a list of the things the Libyans are not likely to ever see again: 

1. Libya had no electricity bill; electricity was free for all its citizens. 

2. There was no interest in loans. Libyan banks were state-owned, and loans were given to all citizens at zero percent interest by law. 

3. Having a home was considered a human right in Libya. 

4. The government used to give all newlyweds in Libya $60,000 dinar (U.S. $50,000) to buy their first apartment and help them start a family. 

5. Education and medical treatments were free in Libya. Before Gaddafi, only 25 percent of Libyans were literate. Today, the figure is 83 percent. 

6. If Libyans wanted to take up a farming career, they would have received farming land, a farming house, equipment, seeds, and livestock to kickstart their farms... all for free. 

7. If Libyans could not find the education or medical facilities they needed, the government funded them to go abroad. The trip was not only paid for, but they also received a U.S.$2,300/month accommodation and car allowance. 

8. If a Libyan bought a car, the government used to subsidize 50 percent of the price. 

9. The price of petrol in Libya was $0.14 per liter. 

10. Libya had no external debt, and its reserves amounted to $150 billion, now frozen globally. 

11. If a Libyan could not get employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she were employed until employment was found. 

12. A portion of every Libyan oil sale was credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens. 

13. A mother who gave birth to a child received U.S. $5,000. 

14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya used to cost $0.15. 

15. 25 percent of Libyans have a university degree. 

16. Gaddafi carried out the world's largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man-made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.

Israel’s National Security Adviser Yaakov Amidror is reportedly conducting clandestine negotiations with European officials in an attempt to sway Brussels over the upcoming round of talks between Iran and the six world powers.

Amidror arrived in Brussels on Monday and met Helga Schmid, EU’s deputy secretary general for political affairs, who is in charge of coordinating preparatory talks between Iran and the P5+1 - permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany -- ahead of the next round of talks in the Iraqi capital city, Baghdad, on May 23, Ha’aretz reported.

I wonder if the year 2012 was destined to be the year ender when the fate of planet Earth is to be determined by few messianic men the likes of Bibi Netanyahu, Ahmadenijad, Barak (Israel) and BaraK (USA) not to mention Egypt’s M’barak whose downfall undoubtedly brought instability in the Arab World.
