December02, 2011 "Daily Record"-----EVEN by the usual standards of American "friendly fire" incidents, the attack on Pakistani troops by US Apache helicopter gunships on Friday was potentially world changing.

This was neither misguided drone attack, nor a missile misfiring.

It was the mass murder of 24 Pakistani soldiers.

That the deaths came so soon after the killings by Nato of five Afghan children in the city of Kandahar goes to show there are no blunders too great for our occupation force.

Think-tanks and working parties wonder why Muslims are being "radicalized".

All that's needed for such radicalization is the ability to switch on the TV news.

When I was a teenager Scottish regiments, under tabloid hero Colonel "Mad" Mitch Mitchell, were rampaging through the Crater District of Aden in the Yemen, shooting all that moved.

We were encouraged to believe murdering the natives was necessary to keep "our" possessions "East of Suez".

It failed, we failed. And the brave people of Yemen are showing every day, by overthrowing the dictatorship we helped to fashion, that no good can come of this endless killing.

As Burns would have put it, the natives are merely nursing their wrath, to keep it warm.

It's horrifying because these eight so-called, would-be candidates are eagerly ruining not only their own reputations and that of their party, the party of Lincoln lore. Worse: They're ruining the reputation of the United States.

'Freakshow'

They lie. They cheat. They exaggerate. They bluster. They say one idiotic, ignorant, outrageous thing after another. They've shown such stark lack of knowledge -- political, economic, geographic, historical -- that they make George W. Bush look like Einstein and even cause their fellow Republicans to cringe.

"When did the GOP lose touch with reality?" wonders Bush's former speechwriter David Frum in New York Magazine. In the New York Times, Kenneth Duberstein, Ronald Reagan's former chief-of-staff, called this campaign season a "reality show," while Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan confidante Peggy Noonan even spoke of a "freakshow."

That may be the most appropriate description.

Tough times demand tough and smart minds. But all these dopes have to offer are ramblings that insult the intelligence of all Americans -- no matter if they are Democrats, Republicans or neither of the above. Yet just like any freakshow, this one would be unthinkable without a stage (in this case, the media, strangling itself with all its misunderstood "political correctness" and "objectivity") and an audience (the party base, which this year seems to have suffered a political lobotomy).

The Qur’anic verse 9:11quoted is not true…somebody made it up. It sounds more like a Nostradamus prophecy. The correct one is here. All the rest about Iraq and Babylon is right at least to my knowledge…

Islam is the most misunderstood religion on the planet, more so even by its followers. Some people try to make their old traditions part of Islam and force others to follow suit. It is the reason why Muslims outside of KSA consider “Wahhabism” to be extremist. Personally, I resent “Wahabbism” being referred to as puritanical Islam because in it are Saudi traditions being forced into Islam, and I expect others to follow. There is nothing Puritanical about it.

I have yet to find a verse in the Qur’an where God did not pair belief with righteous deeds, meaning you must believe and perform virtuous actions.

ISLAM IS PROBABLY THE ONLY RELIGION ON THE PLANET THAT ACCEPTS OTHER FAITHS…

When I read in the Qur’an that God sent 124,000 prophets to the world, I said, “Wow,” immediately thinking of other faiths. It is further stated in the Qur’an that no nation is punished without first sending a warner, meaning God will not punish a nation that has not received the message.

Islam perfectly fits the personality of a just and merciful God.

I challenge other faiths to show me in their Holy Book where it says that I, a Muslim who believes in God and does righteous works, will enter paradise.

In the above verse quoted, the “Sabians” represent other religions. I have asked some of my Arab friends who the “Sabians” were before Islam, but nobody knows for sure.

Belief and righteousness together are the key. You cannot be a believer (of whatever religion) and do monstrous acts of evil and expect to be saved.
